A few months back I reached out to Sharon to buy one of her pieces of art after seeing her feature on the Grayson Perry art club.
We started chatting and I instantly felt a connection - we decided to work together on a new T-shirt design "love birds" I had just sent the proof to the printers when Sharon reached out and told me she had just been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.
With such life-changing news, we decided now wasn't the time to launch and add more work to anyone. However, Sharon being Sharon within a few days reached out again and we decided to change the design and make a t-shirt that not only showed support for those diagnosed but also highlighted the mental as well as the physical side of treatment.
"Tough Cookie" was born as the few people Sharon had told about her cancer the response was always "your a tough cookie"
